Marijuana Guide:
Smoking, Vaping or Eating Marijuana

There are a variety of ways to consume cannabis and cannabis products. This article will introduce you to the different types of its consumption, explain which ones are more preferred for people with no or low marijuana consumption experience, suggest dosage and benefits.

Vaping marijuana means inhaling heated oil through a vaporizer pan, also known as an e-cigarette. Vaping cannabis flower can also refer to using a vaporizer, such as Yocan Evolve, in order to produce vapour from a dried flower.

Here are some ways to consume marijuana:

  • Roll flower to a joint using papers such as RAW, cigarette paper or hemp wrap.
  • Mix marijuana flower with tobacco, which makes it a little less potent. This method is called a spliff.
  • The other great method to smoke flower is to use bongs or pipes.
  • Some cannabis consumers enjoy smoking more potent forms of marijuana than the flower which are concentrates. These include hash, shatter, sauces, diamonds, shatter, budder and live rosin.
When people vape, they consume concentrated marijuana. It seems to be a much more potent delivery system than smoking. In other words, you’ll get more high from vaping than from smoking.

Vaping marijuana through vaporizers such as Yocan Evolve is considered as consuming concentrated marijuana, which is a more potent method rather than smoking. This simply means that you will get more high from vaping through a vaporizer than from smoking a joint. According to the cannabis study, it was determined that the effects of vaping cannabis buds are much intense than smoking. The research showed that first-time and infrequent cannabis consumers tend to experience negative reactions from enhanced delivery of THC while vaping in contrast to smoking. This means that people with minimal marijuana consumption experience are suggested to smoke marijuana, while people with higher tolerance should try vaporizers for a more enhanced high.
Both vaping and smoking have an immediate effect (10-15minutes) on the body and mind. It’s recommended to smoke or vape slowly and taking small amounts and then take a break for 20-30 minutes before the next puff.
According to recent studies, any type of smoking whether it’s cigarettes, vapes or marijuana is harmful to your lungs. Therefore, cannabis consumers may consider alternative methods of its’ consumption. Eating edibles would be the way to get high without any risk for your lungs.

Edible marijuana products or simply edibles are any food or beverage made with THC, CBD or CBG.
For instance:

It takes up to 2 hours for edibles to hit and closer to 3 hours to reach it to the peak. Effects from edibles are long-lasting from 6 to 9 hours. Due to this fact it is suggested to start slowly. If you are a first-time user it is preferred to eat a very small amount. For instance, the most common dose for edibles is 10 milligrams of THC. If you’re just starting out, opt for 5 milligrams of THC. If it’s a 10 mg gummy bear, you should start from a half bear, if it will not hit you in 2 hours, you can increase a doze to a full gummy bear.

Not to mention, if you are looking to receive the beneficial/medical health effects of marijuana, there are CBD and CBG products for you. Consumption of CBG or CBD products will not get you high.
